All technicians use PPE.

Technicians wash their hands with increased frequency.

All technicians carry hand sanitizer.

Technicians may not report to work if they exhibit any symptoms.

Can Air Purifiers or Air Filters Prevent COVID-19?

COVID-19 is also known as novel coronavirus. The word novel indicates that this is a new virus that humans have not seen before. That is why coronavirus is so serious; we do not yet know exactly how to completely prevent it from spreading or eradicate it.

Because the virus is so new, there is not yet enough scientific data to conclusively say that an air purifier will prevent the virus from infecting anyone. However, based on what we know, we can say with some degree of certainty that they may help your chances of avoiding COVID-19 at home.

Air Filters

Studies indicate that high-efficiency reticulate air (HEPA) filters actually can trap microorganisms as small as the COVID-19. The filter will not kill the virus, but it will eventually die while it’s trapped inside.

It is important to note that, if the virus is still alive in the air filter, changing the filter could re-circulate the virus into the air.

There is evidence to indicate that, when used correctly, a UV air purifier can reduce infection rates for other, similar viruses. The efficacy of an air purifier will, however, depend on other important elements such as humidity and airflow

There are several steps you should take while washing your hands to ensure you have covered the entire surface of your hands.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, you’ll need to disinfect the surfaces in your home regularly. Be sure to clean each surface thoroughly and disinfect every item on countertops or mantles as you go. Once an item has been disinfected, it needs to be placed on a sterilized surface (such as the part of the counter you have already cleaned) to avoid cross-contamination.
